Badshah Dhanshak Masala

Badshah Dhanshak Masala is a spice blend for Parsi dhanshak, with coriander, chilli, cumin and black pepper among its ingredients.

The manufacturer’s recipe combines tuvar and masoor dal with pumpkin, potato and brinjal, alongside meat. The masala goes in during cooking with water and tamarind, allowing the lentils, vegetables and spices to cook together. Serve the finished dhanshak with rice, with coriander and lime added at the end.
